Kenney is the daughter of a New York City resident born in 1999. She has parents Gillian Kenney, a criminal defense lawyer as well as Kevin Kenney, a sports writer who wrote previously for the New York Post and now is employed by Fox Sports. Emma Kenney was born in the same city as Emmy Rossum. Born from Manhattan, Kenney, 19 has a role as sassy mother Debbie on the breakout Showtime TV series Shameless. Her early years were spent in the Garden State. Kenney was also well known as Darlene Gilbert's daughter Harris, in her time in the Roseanne revival.
