Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. The name was given to her by her parents after the town where she was raised in. Michel Horowitz was her father and Cynthia Palmer, his mother was both an author and editors. Ryder's father and mother have both been Jewish. Ryder believes herself to be Jewish. Uria is Ryder's younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are Ryder's half-siblings. Ryder's family relocated to Mendocino County, California when she was seven.
