Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub (American actress and comedian, as well as activist) is a comedian. She was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and started her career as an actor as a child shortly after moving to the United States. Her appearances as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials from 2013 until 2016 - and now since 2020 - earned her acclaim. Commercial appearances weren't her only activity she appeared in. She also appeared on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015). She also played a recurring role as a character on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. Vayntrub has also been voiced as Squirrel Girl in the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after being selected to play Squirrel Girl in the unaired TV pilot of New Warriors. Vayntrub was Jewish, born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents, who were both two years old, immigrated to America to escape antisemitism. They were settled in West Hollywood. Due to her family's financial troubles, she started acting in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub went to Beverly Hills High School briefly however she dropped out in her sophomore year. She then obtained a GED, and earned an Associate of Arts degree in Communication at University of California, San Diego. Vayntrub studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade.
