Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actress as well as a producer, director and educator, playwright and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father comes from Britain, while her mother is an "Turkish English-Cypriot expat." Anna's first memories include attending play rehearsals and watching her mother's work. Anna appeared in numerous commercials when she was a child. Anna relocated to Toronto in the fall of 1999 in order to continue her acting career. Then, she settled at Los Angeles (California) over the next decade. Seth Cooperman and Anna met in Los Angeles in 2007, in an acting workshop. They were engaged by 2009 after getting married.
